Questions we get asked.

Including the ones where the honest answer is not the one that closes the sale fastest.

Can any vendor make my site WCAG conformant?

No. Conformance is a property of your site at a point in time, and it changes with every deploy and every piece of content anyone publishes. What a vendor can do is test it, fix what is broken, and document both. Anyone promising guaranteed conformance is describing something the FTC has already penalised.

How long does a first audit take?

Usually two to four weeks from scan to report for a typical site, depending on how many templates there are and whether authenticated flows are in scope. You get the automated results within a couple of days; the manual review is what takes the time.

Will you work with our developers or replace them?

Work with them. Fixes are delivered as pull requests or a precise change list, reviewed with your team. You keep the knowledge and the code.

What if we have no developers?

Then we make the changes ourselves in your theme or repository, with your approval on each one. Common with WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace clients.

Do you guarantee we will not be sued?

No, and nobody honestly can. What demonstrably helps is a dated, continuous record of real remediation, which is what our programme produces.

How much does remediation cost?

Typically $4,000 to $30,000 depending on how many templates you have and their condition. We quote after the free scan, when we know what is actually there rather than guessing.

Is the widget required?

No. It is included on every plan and some visitors find it genuinely useful, but the audit, remediation, monitoring and reporting all work without it.

We already have an overlay. Should we remove it?

Tell us which one and we will show you what it is doing on your site. Some introduce issues of their own, which will appear in your report. The decision stays yours.

Do you test mobile apps?

Not currently. We test websites and web applications, including mobile browsers and responsive layouts. Native iOS and Android apps are outside what we do, and we would rather say so than take the work.

What happens to our data?

Scan results and reports are yours, exportable at any time in a portable format. See our privacy page for what the platform stores and what it deliberately does not.

Something we have not answered?

Ask us directly. We reply within one business day, and we will tell you if the answer is no.
